CASC Middle School Summer Camp

The CASC summer conference is a hands-on opportunity for students and advisors to gain new ideas and to improve their leadership skills over four fun-filled days! Delegates are divided into small groups led by a trained high school or college student. Throughout the conference the group participates in activities to get to know each other, improves their presentation skills, practices facilitating meetings, and solves challenging problems. Returning delegates participate in separate small group curriculum and join first timers for elective seminars and general sessions featuring motivational speakers.

2006 Nat'l Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation

NCDD's third biennial conference will bring together 400 practitioners, scholars, students and activists who are dedicated to solving group and societal problems through honest talk, quality thinking and collaborative action. Martha McCoy, Executive Director of the Study Circles Resource Center, says, “NCDD has cultivated a broad and emerging field by making it possible for diverse threads of practice to learn from each other. Its mode of working is respectful, inclusive, and practitioner-oriented. Everyone who believes that dialogue and deliberation are key to transforming people, relationships, and society--including political systems--can benefit from being part of NCDD and its next conference.”
